Patient and Public Involvement Group

Stroke Hub Wales Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group was set up in 2019 in collaboration with the Stroke Association Bridgend County Life after Stroke Support Group.

The group further developed and serves as a resource to provide critical feedback in the form of PPI reports and to co-produce research projects, keeping the voices of stroke survivors and their families at the heart of the research that affects them.

The governance framework consists of a chair (Dr Jess Williams), vice-chair (Dr. Abdul Seckam), coordinator (SHW manager) as well as clinicians, allied health professionals, stroke survivors, carers and members of the public. The group meets quarterly and as and when projects arise.
