This Privacy Notice explains how the University uses your personal information and your rights regarding that information.

The information Cardiff Metropolitan University is collecting includes: Your name and your email address only. The University is lawful in processing this data because you have given consent (under Article 6 of the GDPR) to the processing of your data for the purpose of making a difference to stroke prevention, rehabilitation and research across Wales for future generations.

Your data will be shared with authorised Welsh Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Welsh Local Health Boards and Stroke Research Units within Wales once they have obtained the relevant ethical approval and subject to a binding contract. Your information will not be shared with anyone else.

The retention period for your data is up to 5 years. The data will then be securely destroyed in accordance with Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Records Management Policy (which is currently under review and will be published by May 25th 2018).

 

You will not receive any marketing material.

You have a right to access your personal information, to rectify, to erase, to restrict and to port your personal information. Please visit the Information Commissioner Office’s (ICO) website for further information in relation to your rights. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
